Every spring, our St. Ann School family comes together to celebrate one of the most beloved traditions of the year—Grandparents and Special Person’s Day. This treasured event, held annually in April, is a time to honor the grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, family friends, and special people who play such a vital role in the lives of our students from 4K through 8th grade. Whether they travel from miles away or live just around the corner in Stoughton, their presence fills our halls with joy, laughter, and love.
Over 20 Years of Faith-Filled Tradition
For more than two decades, this event has been a beautiful reminder that raising children truly takes a village. As a Catholic school rooted in faith and community, we believe that every child is a gift from God and deserves to be surrounded by those who nurture them with wisdom, kindness, and grace. Grandparents and special people are an extension of God’s love in our lives—they are living examples of faith, perseverance, and unconditional support.
A Day of Joy and Togetherness
The day is filled with memorable moments and shared experiences. Guests and students enjoy refreshments together, create crafts, explore the book fair, and join in the fun with bingo, board games, and card games. The Photo Booth captures sweet memories and plenty of smiles, giving families a keepsake from a day well spent.
More Than Just a Visit—It’s a Blessing
It’s hard to put into words just how much this day means to our students—and to the special guests who join us. You can see it in the hugs, the laughter, the sparkle in their eyes. For many, it’s a chance to reconnect, to celebrate milestones, and to simply enjoy the gift of togetherness. For others, it's a time to build new traditions and strengthen the bonds of faith and family.
As longtime attendee Jean F. shared, “Another great Grandparents’ Day! Been attending since Sophia was in the 4-year-old program & now is in the 7th grade. What a great tradition♥️”
Gratitude for Our School Community
We are so grateful to our dedicated staff and incredible parent volunteers who work tirelessly to make this event not only possible, but meaningful. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality reflect the heart of our mission here at St. Ann: to live, learn, and love in Christ.
Our guests feel the love and care, too. Virginia D. said, “Thank you to Father and all the Teachers, Staff, Volunteers, Students and everyone that made Grandparents' Day so very special for all the grandchildren and grandparents! We enjoyed the day so very much. ❤️”
Giving Thanks for Our Village
As we look back on this year’s Grandparents and Special Person’s Day, we give thanks to God for the blessings of family and community. May we continue to cherish these relationships and honor the generations who have helped shape the faith-filled foundation of our lives.
