Dear School Families,

In his Lenten message for 2018, Pope Francis has asked all of us to focus our efforts on Scripture, Fasting, and Almsgiving. Pope Francis encourages us to make almsgiving a genuine style of life: “When we give alms, we share in God’s providential care for each of His children.” As we reflect upon this message, Father Randy and I would like you to consider how your almsgiving through St. Ann Parish supports your child’s education.

From the beginning, the Sisters of Nazareth were committed to an affordable, Catholic education. In fact, they made it their mission never to deprive a child of an education, especially for financial reasons. Over the years, we have stayed true to this mission and have provided a very affordable, Catholic education for all of our students. In order for the school to continue to support high quality teachers and curriculum, we need to find ways to ensure the financial viability of the parish as a whole. As you take a look at the contract for the 2018-2019 school year which will be coming home next week, you will notice a change in the section entitled, Tuition and other Charges. Beginning next year, we are asking all families who select Payment Plan 1 on their Tuition Payment Commitment form, to actively participate in their sacrificial giving in the amount of $600, between June 1st and May 31st of the current school year. Contributions made directly to our parish help support our school program. In addition to your financial support, your regular attendance at Mass with your children strengthens our efforts to instill a strong, Catholic foundation in your child, particularly as they prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation their freshman year in high school.

Thank you for your loving support of our school and parish community. We look forward to another wonderful school year in 2018-19.
